Best of Bellevue | March 2019
Meet the Woodberys: Jennifer, Liam (14) and Elle (10). Tucked in off a quiet lane on Clyde Hill, this trifecta keeps busy with sports, school and travel but they all love coming back to their tidy, thoughtfully designed home. What stood out to me when interviewing this cute family was the clever humor and gentle rhythm this family has when just hanging out at home.
Originally from Utah, Jennifer (Jen for short) landed here in West Bellevue 7 years ago by way of Boston, San Francisco, New York, London - New York again - finally to call the Pacific Northwest home. Jennifer is a management consultant and speech writer and travels the world helping CEOs and global technology leaders hone their messaging for keynote presentations.
Liam is gearing up for his freshman year at Bellevue high and is currently an athletic 6’ tall 8th grader at Chinook, playing football and the trumpet. Elle is 10 and is a smart and sassy 4th grader at Clyde Hill Elementary who enjoys competitive cheer. Jennifer tells me she feels lucky to have such nice kids who have nice friends.
The threesome share a love of travel. One of their favorite vacation spots is Venice Beach, California because, as Jennifer pointed out, there is something for everyone: long boarding for Liam and biking for her and Elle. They enjoy taking in the surf culture, being tourists at the Santa Monica Pier and observing the “slice of humanity” that Venice is.
