A few days ago, 7-acres of the Bellevue waterfront became open to the public as a $19 million waterfront park. After 15 years of planning, land acquisition, and construction, the park is finally complete and open for use. The community gathered on March 16th to celebrate the 430-foot curvilinear pier, from which people can enjoy views of both downtown Bellevue and Lake Washington.

Meydenbauer Park is open just in time for summer. Kayakers, canoers, and paddle boarders are sure to fill the water when warmer weather and sunshine arrives. The park is just a few blocks west from Bellevue Square and can be accessed easily by public transportation.
